Anomali is a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering youth in Indonesia through training and education. Our goal is improvement towards the lives of the Indonesian youth by helping them find employment, bolstering their skills and knowledge, opening up their minds, and providing them with the opportunity to excel in their respective fields. We help facilitate youth by indulging in activities pertaining to these goals. Anomali is based in Jakarta and Bandung. Our members and volunteers consist of achievers from various universities throughout the country and abroad. The majority of our members and volunteers are mostly students and youths who are called upon to help their fellow youth as is of essence in achieving our cause.

The Ever Successful PEDC

Since its establishment in 2003, Phyxius Debate Association has become the most influential English Debate Society in West Java and even National scale in terms of activity and identity. Just recently they held the 4th Phyxius English Debate Championship, participated by schools from Jakarta and Bandung. For this special occasion, Anomali also assisted St. Albert school from Malang to participate in this competition, regardless of distance constraint. Our aim is for our new partner school in Malang to witness the debating experience in national scale and also to learn from Phyxius as a full-fledged and established English Debate Club.
Youth Debate and Negotiation Skills on Climate Change Training

Anomali under the support from The Minisitry of Environment, British Council and Hans Seidel Foundation, has facilitated “Youth Debate and on Negotiation Skills on Climate Change” in Hyatt Hotel, Sanur, Bali 14-15 October 2009. The training was followed by 25 selected students from15 schools across Bali and Jakarta.
Facebook, Google, YouTube, MTV, Howcast, Columbia Law School, the U.S. Department of State and Access 360 Media are bringing leaders of 17 pioneering organizations from 15 countries together with technology experts next month in New York for the first-ever conclave to empower youth against violence and oppression through the use of the latest online tools in The Alliance of Youth Movement Summit.
Youth Speak Fun Day (YFSD) High School Debate Competition and Spelling Bee
November 20th-22nd 2009
Anomali under the support of Jakarta Post and The American Embassy will convene Youth Speak Fun Day (YFSD) High School Debate Competition and Spelling Bee. The event will take place from Nov 20th-Nov22nd. For Friday and Saturday the events will take place in Binus High Simprug, whereas in 8Sunday it will take place in International Sport Club Indonesia (ISCI) Ciputat.
This program was a pioneering program in Anomali, with the purpose of combining the spirit of empowerment and debate, and still in line with Anomali’s vision to empower youth through education and training.
environmental watch
Anomali realizes that there are significant and obvious changes in our environment. However, the policies taken to overcome the problem are insufficient, ineffective and, most of the time, not understood.
inter-faith dialogue
Indonesia is the largest archipelago nation in the world with the most diverse indigenous cultures and religions. Promoting understanding to bridge the differences is fundamental in creating a sustainable peaceful relationship amidst the multi-facetted citizens.
